Welcome to the Carolyn Barron Montessori School!
The Carolyn Barron Montessori School maintains the philosophical and educational components of Maria Montessori's radical yet successful mode of education. CBMS was founded in Newnan, Georgia, in 1992. Currently, there are 125 children from ages 2 to 14 years old enrolled in our primary, lower and upper elementary, and middle school classes.
Our children exude the love of learning in a setting that fosters independence and discovery of themselves and the world around them. Literature, mathematics, science, history, physical health, art, music, cooking, and nature studies are interwoven to supply ample hands-on learning opportunities. There is also a strong focus on community harmony and social responsibility which develops simultaneously with the child's learning experience.
