What others have said about CBMS:

Choosing where to begin your child's education can be an agonizing experience. As a parent you have thoughts and ideas and plans about how your child will respond to the educational process. I have approached my son's development very carefully since he was born (as most first time parents). When we moved to GA from NC right in the middle of the school year, it was very stressful. We initially chose a Montessori school in Fayetteville but it was not a good match for us. We transitioned to the Primary classroom in Carolyn Barron during this past academic year. I have watched my four year old thrive. Most importantly I see him challenging himself and proactively seeking out new learning opportunities. Carolyn Barron has been an answer to prayer. We have found the school to be supportive and eager to hear our specific goals for our child. We love the school!

My children have attended the Toddler - Lower Elementary levels at CBMS and I couldn't be happier. They are loved, challenged and cared for deeply by their teachers, the administration, and the parent volunteers who are actively involved in the school. The school has great parent communication through weekly newsletters, emails, parent education meetings, conferences, etc. The focus on independence and natural consequences (Montessori Method) is what makes this school unique from any other school in town. My children get themselves ready for school each morning, make their own lunch, do their homework (without me having to say a word), and remember to bring what is needed to school on special days. The academics are top notch and the hands on approach really works! I'm thankful that my children continue to receive an above average education at CBMS!

My daughter currently attends this school. She has blossomed since entering the Primary program (at almost 3 years of age). This is her second year, she is 4, and she loves her teacher and classmates. I think the Primary program is perfect for children of that age (3-6). My daughter was very shy, and the experience has taught her confidence and creative independence.

My children have attended CBMS for the past five years. The teachers have instilled a love of learning, accountability and independence in my girls. My communication with teachers has been open and forthcoming. We attend parent/teacher conferences, observe classes and receive regular progress reports. I am pleased that healthy lunches are encouraged so students truly perform at the highest level. At CBMS, the teachers and administration have worked with me to ensure that my children are excelling academically and socially. I truly feel blessed to have my girls in such a nurturing educational environment.

I have 2 kids at CBMS. Both students have a great love of learning, due to their excellent teachers. The atmosphere encourages the kids to want to learn more and more everyday. I highly encourage prospective parents to come by and observe the students and teachers.

I've worked at two other Montessori schools, and have visited several others. Above all, CBMS is the best place I have ever worked. The staff and families are truly a community. 'It takes a village to raise a child,' and every member of our 'village' is a valued contributor to each child's education at CBMS. In my experience of over a year at CBMS, I was immediately accepted as a valuable and appreciated member of the community. I have not encountered the mean spirited gossip, poor leadership and unfair treatment I have witnessed at other schools. We are truly a family here. I moved 800 miles to work at CBMS, and it was well worth it.

Our children have grown up at CBMS beginning at the age of 2 1/2. It was an amazing start relative to the more traditional 'day care' and they have continued to thrive. The Montessori Method of teaching and learning is unique; focused on developing the child - not just academics. CBMS stays true to that. Both of our children have developed a love of learning, the ability to research and get answers for themselves, a sense of community and how they fit into this world around them. Academically they are grades ahead based on standardized testing. They have developed into leaders, sensitive to those around them, understand compromise and working collectively towards answers. All great life skills. The school is small and has provided an intimate and safe place for our children to grow and develop; preparing them for life full of choices
